What a beautiful day today - s/b 95 (a dab too warm) but nice right now.

 Today we go to AZ88 with cousin Jack/Karen, Jackie Kemper/Jim and Carople and Tom.  Should be lots of laughs.

Went to church last night so don't have to go today - love Sat. night mass.


Nic sent me Ashley's pictures and I will show them off today for everyone.   Great pics.

Glad you're back - I worry when I don't hear from you.

We send another package 2 days ago you should get it in another week or so.  Bob starts training at Grand Canyon University next week (on the computer) not sure if he does it from home or at the U itself.

My cousin Jackie Kosak (Kemper) is here (Sun City West) now and we are going to the mountains with them (husband Jim and Carole and Tom) on Tuesday then Jack and Karen are coming down and we are going to AZ88 with them - the girls are all going out to lunch one day too.  Jim, Jackie's husband has a neuro disease and is extremely handicapped - mentally just fine but can't control a lot of movements.  He is my age, we went to grade school together at ST. John the Baptist in New Brighton.  Graduated from 8th grade together.  Sure makes one think. 
 I have started planning for Christmas with gifts etc.  We are making most of them this year.  So much better than last year - I was so depressed then I could hardly acknowledge it was Christmas.  Much better this year.

 I made a  yeast bread with pumpkin and it turned out pretty good - I am going to make a crusty bread to go with the soup I am making for dinner today (roasted red pepper soup with shrimp and cod) It fits right in with my weight watcher menus - I am having such good success with Weight Watchers this time - next time you see me you'll have to ask where the rest of me is -

Wednesday

Haven't heard from you for awhile - I think you said you would be gone for a few days - hope all is well.
Bob finally heard from that company yesterday and they are still talking but Bob thinks nothing will come of it - I will let him tell you why - something about them not being too sure he know how to do what they want - stupid people .
Weather here has turned warm again - been bike riding in the mornings no A/C at night.  Nice!

I have another package to send in the AM - you should like this one.

Fertilizing the flowers, trees etc today - they should bloom beautifully all winter.
Next project is making blueberry muffins - weight watcher style - not sure if I told you but I joined WW again about 2 weeks ago.  doing well so far.  I swam yesterday, trying to exercise my shoulder.  Was sore last night but better today.  You would be impressed as I can now lift my arm, on my own to almost shoulder height - the muscles still need strengthening so I can lift it all the way up.  I am told that I will be only about 10% less than normal.  That sounds good to me.

I get so angry when I think of that damn company Bob talked to - you would think after spending that much time with him they would have had the courtesy to call him. 
My sister, Lynn, said she sent you something - please be sure and respond - thanks.

Just finished Skyping with you - that was fun.  I will try and leave it up so you can call when you're around.  Wished Nic a HB today - she is really a hero with keeping the fort alive and well while you're gone,

We are not doing too much this weekend - going to clean a bit and maybe go to a movie this afternoon.  We can do that when we are retired because the  movie is cheap and we have the time.

That company never called Bob back - I think he is really bummed about it - he will still teach at Grand Canyon University starting with the next quarter I think is in January.  He will be an adjunct professor teaching pre-med students the sciences.  That will sure help us financially.

Not much else is new - it's finally getting cooler here - low 50's at night and 80 during the day - that why we live here in the winter.  Love the cool nights and warm, dry days.

Pumpkin day, again

OK so today I baked pumpkin scones add that to yesterday I made a pumpkin dip (weight watchers) and a pumpkin smoothie.  I just am having a difficult time satisfying my craving.
Bob met with the people from that company yesterday, he said the engineer was good and they seemed to get along fine - they asked him about salary and were OK with his response - he will take something now and then renegotiate in 6 months.
They ended by saying they would be in contact with him - he fully expected to hear from them today but they never called.  Who knows..............I am still praying he will get the position.
Not much else is new - OH yes - it is raining here right now and has been for at least an hour.  It seems to be an event when it rains.  We sure needed it - the temp is 63 degrees!!!!!!  That's a winter temp for us.

Hi - get this - I just made pumpkin base - buying pumpkins and roasting them - and made the most fabulous soup ever.  I think I'll market it! 
Actually, I am going to do pie crusts and use my stuff for the filling then I can say I really made the pies.

I am pretty proud of myself - if you were closer I'd share.

Talked to your dad and he seems fine with having another birthday -
Not much new here - we did drive to the Superstition mts. today and is that ever cool - there is a huge lake and you can rent pontoon boats etc. As soon as I download the pics I tool I will share them with you.  We stopped in Tortilla Flats (town) ate and I saw my first rattle snake about 4" from me.  Quite an experience.  I even have a picture of it.
Bob meets with the engineer of the company tomorrow - if all goes well he should have a job.  I am sure praying for that.  He will always teach if that doesn't work out.
I am going to bed now and I forgot to get the laptop out - will do it tomorrow
By the way - did you go back to the Dr about your neck?  It sounds like it from your blog - when do you start PT?
